    There are a million types of waffles…literally…they are eaten throughout the world particularly in Belgium,  France,  Netherlands, Scandinavia, Hong Kong, Vietnam and of course the USA. Some are light, airy and thin with yeast used in the batter, and others like the ones we make here in the USA are leavened with baking powder. The word “waffle” first…
